Privacy & Refund Policy

Effective September 2, 2026 · Last updated September 11, 2026

BidBrief collects as little as it can and never sells your data. This page explains what we keep, why, and how refunds work.

What we collect

Account: your email address, a hashed password (we can’t read it), the invite code you redeemed, and when your trial started.
Usage: your favorited pairings, whether you’ve seen the tutorial, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept briefly for security and debugging.
Billing: your subscription status, plan, and renewal date. Your card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor; BidBrief never sees or stores your full card number.

We do not collect your employee number, seniority, bid, awards, or anything from your airline’s systems.

How we use it

To sign you in, remember your favorites, run your subscription, send you account and billing emails (trial-ending reminders, receipts, password resets), and keep the Service secure. We don’t use your data for advertising and we don’t send marketing email without asking first.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run BidBrief: Supabase (database and login), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by its own privacy terms and receives only what it needs. We’ll disclose data if the law requires it. We never sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and storage

We use browser storage strictly to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can update your card, switch plans, or cancel anytime from ☰ → Manage billing. To delete your account and its data, email us from your account address and we’ll remove it within 30 days (Stripe keeps transaction records as required by law).

Refund policy

Free trial: cancel any time during the 90-day trial and you are never charged.
Monthly plan: cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the current month and won’t be billed again. Charges already made are non-refundable.
Yearly plan: cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the paid year. If you cancel within 14 days of a yearly charge and haven’t used the Service in that time, we’ll refund it in full on request.
Mistakes: duplicate charges, or a charge after you cancelled, are refunded in full — just email us. If BidBrief shuts down, prepaid unused time is refunded.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. We sign you out at least every 7 days and require your password again before any billing change. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we’ll tell you promptly.

Children

BidBrief is for working crew members and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we’ll notify you by email or in the app.
